Yup...still breathing!

Hello friends. It's been a while, and I apologize for that. I'm afraid that I've been a bit blue lately and haven't had the urge to write.

Things are going fine around here...hubby's laid off so we have been working on our usual remodel project. This winter we've decided to do 2 projects: Lindsey's room, and a major cleaning and destashing of our kitchen cupboards!

Linds hasn't had a redo since she was a small girl, so her room was looking a little juvenile for a soon-to-be 16 yo! We just finished the painting --she chose a very bright lime green for the walls, which scared me a bit at first, but really looks good once it's up! lol I just finished making her some cute curtains...we picked out some white fabric with lime green, pink, aqua, and brown dots--so crisp and fun! We also bought her a new mattress set (which she badly needed) . Now we are currently adding the fun stuff--shelves and artwork, etc. I'll post some pics when we get it done.

Next up are the kitchen cupboards...it's gonna be a tough one to get motivated for , but HAS to be done! lol It's to the point where things will actually fall out onto you when you open a door!

I'm writing this from work so I don't have access to all my pictures, but here are a couple thing that I've listed lately that are also in my Flickr photostream.

Well, one last thing. I'd ask you all to keep on praying for my brother Paul. That damn cancer is really giving him a run. I just spoke with him last night and he is feeling pretty sick from the constant treatments, can't eat, and is losing a lot of weight. All prayers are appreciated.

I still have Paul in my thoughts and prayers. Your creative projects look great and it sounds as though you have lots of work to do in the house.

The first time I painted my kitchen cupboards, it took me all summer!

I'm so sorry things are down for you right now, sometimes the blues are hard to shake. I'll be praying for both you and your brother. It's good to hear from you. :)

I will pray for your brother, Paul.
Philippians 4 : 6 - 7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Love your new mouse . I just saw an add for a movie I want to see (yep, 45 and still love cartoon movies "for kids" ) . It's a very brave mouse with giant ears and I can't wait to felt my own but worried about the ears making him top heavy. All the top engineers say it can't be done, but I refuse to listen.

I went to High School at Duluth East...were we class mates ?

Love your sweet birdies!
I can't wait to see pictures of your daughter's room. I really like that bright apple green color.
I will certainly keep your brother in my thoughts. And I hope you're feeling better soon, too.

Loving your creations that you make and sew, as always!! I still am not done redoing my 13 year old's room that I started last fall. She was wayyyy over due for a room makeover too. Have fun with your daughter's---I can't wait to see the results. When you are done in your kitchen you can do mine next!!
