Etsy Front Page

Hello all you beautiful people :o)

I was very pleased to find out that my cute vintage Sailor dish towel made it to Etsy's front page last night!!

It did actually sell right away and brought me lots of new visitors and a few new shop heart---so YEAH!!

I know that I've been gone for such a long time from my blog--it's been a pretty rough road for ol' Mrs. Kwitty lately. Losing Paul was so hard on us all, he left a really big hole with his passing--hard on us and especially hard on his wife and kids.

Then, I had been feeling very ill for several months during the ordeal with Paul, and was being treated for pneumonia on top of it all. At the end of December I ended up in the hospital and it was discovered there that it wasn't pneumonia that was wearing me down...I was diagnosed with lung cancer.

Since then has been all the fun and games that goes along with having cancer....getting your mind wrapped around the fact that you have cancer, starting and getting through chemo treatments, losing your hair (oh yeah, being a baldy is really something! lol), and so on and so forth. I ended up closing up my Etsy shop for a while, but you know, crafting is in the heart and soul and I just had to get back into it again FOR MY SANITY! lol

So, little by little, I've been adding things back into life again and I guess it's time to get back to my little blog here and all the lovely friends that stop by to visit. I do love you guys, you brighten my day with your comments and encouragement and I thank you!! Keep me in your prayers...I can use the help from the "Big Guy" upstairs!

Oh my goodness, it seems the rain really has poured into your life in the past few months. I am so sorry, and I will certainly keep you in prayer.

I've been checking in to see if you had 'come back' to etsy and to your blog. I'm glad to see your post today. I hope this means you'll be coming back again. Writing is therapy, you know.

I can only imagine what you've been going through emotionally and physically since the death of your brother, and then finding out about the cancer on top of that. I only know that my heart aches for you. I am truly so sorry.

Oh gosh! I have thought of you so many times but I knew that losing Paul was so very hard for you and just figured you were taking some time to regroup. I'm glad you're back to crafting. It's such a big part of who you are and, selfishly, I just missed you. :) Was tickled pink to see your comment today. Much love to you.

Isn't life just so hard sometimes? I sometimes am so amazed at how our hearts can take all the loss and trials. But I know that you are a fighter and I send healing thoughts and prayers to you as you walk this journey.

Oh Karen,

It's SO WONDERFUL to see you back. My condolences about your brother.
I can't imagine going through that and then finding out your diagnosis.
I know you have many hearts behind you all wishing you a healthy recovery and sending you positive energy and good wishes! I know I'm sending some your way!
Have you picked up that book?
The Gerson Therapy?
I'm about 80% completely organic and vegan now (minus salmon sushi every now and then) ...juice every day and feel SO MUCH better!
I bought it off Amazon for a good price.
It's FULL of AMAZING information about all different types of cancers and ailments.
The therapy does make sense.
At least look at my link:

Congrats on the First page!
See! Good things to come!!!

Karen, I had no idea you were dealing with lung cancer! My mother is a lung cancer survivor considered "cured" as it's been well over 5 years, now.

You've had so much to deal with these past months - I'm so glad to see you back into blogging and your shop (I missed you). Now, I'm off to see if those sweet birdies are still there waiting to come home with me, and keep my pretty aqua birdy company :-)
