(Cancer is Blechy)
I'm on a new chemo now, and my hair fell out again! Dang it! Just in time for winter again. but at least you don't look out of place wearing hats in the winter, right?
BUT---my "hair" looks mahvelous, thanks to LoisStifel (aka Foxy G) who sent me this this fab hat that her Dear Mother knit. Isn't it fun...when I get bummed about being bald, I can just put this on and SMILE!
By the way---Lois herself makes some fantastic hand-knits too---some of the very best I've seen--stop by her shop for some really great , quality gift ideas FoxyGKnits
Please don't look to closely at these pics--not only has my hair fallen out, so has most of my eyelashes and eyebrows, so I can't wear any makeup--hence the zombieish appearance! LOL.
This chemo has been pretty rough, but I met with the Doc today and we are going to try a few new things to see if we can't make things a little easier to bear this time. In the spirit of Thanksgiving.... I am thankful to have God, Family, Friends, a good Doc and Nurses, and Crafting to keep me smiling and positive through this. Thanks to you for the love and prayers and support---I appreciate it more than you could possibly know! ♥♥♥

Hi, Karen,
You've been in my thoughts so often of late - I'm happy to see you hanging in there, and showing off your new do!
Take care of you.
Kathy
Awww Karen. Keep that sense of humor. You made me smile. Keeping you in my thoughts!
Your sense of humor will get you through most anything, even the Big C! Hats off to you - pun intended! X0X0
Wow, Karen! Your hair looks so festive. You are stylin' and profilin' LOL
I am praying that all of this is behind you soon. :D

Karen- The hat is fabulous! I'm so glad to see you, and to see that you have a smile on your face. Keep on counting those blessings, because as great as you are, you have many. Sending big hugs your way...
xoxo Jennie
So glad to see that you got a new hat! So proud of you. You have such a wonderful family and fun attitude towards life.
I love the new hair, Karen! Thank you for continuing to blog and make your beautiful gifts, and for smiling even through all the pain and plain ol' inconvenience of your illness...you are a real trooper!
Love and {{Hugs}}
Diane :-)
Tres chic Karen! What a fabulous hat, love those pretty colors. Glad you had a yummy Thanksgiving and I am sending you out a big bunch of "feel better" wishes xoxo Jen
I didn't realize you'd been through the hair loss before. But what a fab hat. All the better since it's colorful. :D
I was across the aisle from a crafter who made faux fur scarves last weekend and thinking you need a fur hat in your part of the country.
I have the skimpiest lashes and brows in the world, so I can imagine what that's like. At least you have brown eyes and dark complexion. I'm so jealous. Do you have Native Amer. heritage? I have Cherokee not too far back, but the only dark skin I inherited is under my eyes. Bah!
I love your funny, sunny pix! Take care of yourself, God be with you and your doctors, and keep smiling! (((hugs)))
Dear Karen,
:O) I love the pictures!
I am always thinking of you and wishing you a full recovery and your sense of humor, you are an AMAZING person.
Wishing you and your wonderful family Happy Holidays and always a BIG thank you visiting my blog.
Take care my friend XXXXXX
Karen, you are a good sport, and you look adorable in the hat. Hoping along with you that the side effects can be lessened some for you!
Hugs,
Lallee
